Summary

Brett Hundley took over as UCLA’s starting quarterback job as a redshirt freshman in 2012 and immediately caught the eye of NFL scouts. He threw for 3,745 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. This season his numbers are a bit down has he has thrown for 2,845 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. To this point, he has thrown over 100 less attempts than 2012 which is a big reason why his numbers are down. Those aren’t the only numbers to look at though as his completion percentage has improved from 66.6% to 67.8%, and his yards per attempt has increased from 7.8 to 8.3. Hundley has improved as a passer this season but still has a long way to go before he can rise to the ranks of the NFL’s elite. He has the athletic tools to be a great NFL quarterback but needs a lot of refinement in his footwork, accuracy, and decision making.

NFL Comparison – Jason Campbell, but a little better of an athlete
